Artichoke's are a beautiful flowered plant that is sold as an ornamental as well as for food. 

Bold, deeply lobed silvery-green leaves grow in a giant rosette that can get 4 feet tall. The fleshy flower buds 2 to 5 inches in diameter borne on a tall stem from the center of the plant are the edible portion. The ends of the pedals are the edible part. If left to bloom it opens with brilliant purple flowers that are quite unusual and striking.

Artichokes are a favorite among our family.

120-day growing season, start plants indoors in January in nutrient-rich soil. Allow 3-4 weeks to germinate 70 to 75 degrees and slightly moist soil improves germination. heavy feeders.

Im really pleased with these seeds. I am a true beginner. I have never grown anything in my life and I kill plants that seem pretty hardy. So far though, this has been working. I have sprouts from all the seeds I purchased and they are doing well. The directions were easy and the seeds were clearly labeled.
