Deep violet purple tomatillos are unique, beautiful, and rare to find. Has a sweet fruity flavor with hints of citrus which makes these a staple in Spanish cuisine. Small round and golf ball sized, at maturity. Like all tomatillos, fruit is encased in a papery husk that splits open as the fruit matures.
Fruit begins green and ripens to a deep dark beautiful violet purple when its ripe. Heavily branched plants have dark green leaves with striking purple veins, grow to an average of just three feet, and produce high yields of this exceptional fruit.

More sun will produce more purple fruit. Because its more sweeter than other green types it can be eaten right off the plant. Great for making salsa, sauces, canning and great in mexican dishes.
