Charentais Cantaloupe is a super sweet and very fragrant European Dwarf sized cantaloupe averaging 2 to 3 pounds in weight ,(the size of a softball). It has a smooth, greenish/grey colored skin and distinct green ribbing. Its amazing firm flesh is salmon-orange with incredible sugary sweet flavor. These are our favorites of all cantaloupes.

When ripe they give off a highly fragrant aroma of tropical fruit and floral smells. It's intense sweet flavor and robust scent must be appreciated at its height of maturity as it has a delicate and short shelf-life. No worries these won't last long. I've never had such a delicious cantaloupe .. EVER! This rare European Heirloom is a must for cantaloupe lovers.
