Calabrese Broccoli Forms a 5-8” main head, with a stalky stem but most loved for its huge number of side shoots that will keep giving. Very flavorful and quite frost resistant. Grown fall or early spring ready for harvest in 60-90 days.
Broccoli is known for being rich in nutrients and what is better than homegrown broccoli. Originally from Italy but brought to the US in the 1880’s.
Broccoli Seeds Require rich soil! I think it may be impossible to overfeed broccoli, especially when it comes to nitrogen.
Plant indoors 6 weeks before frost. Sow seeds ¼ inch deep in a good planting soil starter, keep moist. Place sprouted seedlings near a sunny window or under grow lights hardening off before planting outdoors.
