Evening primrose Flowers work well planted along borders or makes an excellent addition to a wildflower, cottage, or an herb garden. It is highly prolific and reseeds itself each year. Flowers open at dusk and close again in the morning hence the common name of evening primrose. Flowers are fertilized by night-flyers which are attracted by the mild lemon flower fragrance and by bees in the early morning before closure. Seeds attract birds.
